Genie Garage Door Opener Repair & Installation - Brighton, Michigan
Genie is an American opener maker that built its name on the screw-drive design, then added the belt-drive SilentMax and chain-drive ChainMax lines. Empire installs, repairs, and reprograms Genie units across Brighton and Southeast Michigan, from garage remotes and Safe-T-Beam sensors to full Aladdin Connect smart setups.
The Genie Lineup Empire Works On
Every Genie drive type, plus the Aladdin Connect smart system, handled by technicians who know the platform.
SilentMax Belt Drive
Genie's belt-drive line pairs a DC motor with a steel-reinforced belt, so it opens smoothly and stays quiet enough for a garage under a bedroom. We fit new SilentMax units and replace worn belts, rollers, and logic boards on the ones already in place.
ChainMax Chain Drive
The chain-drive workhorse. ChainMax is rugged and easy on the budget, and it pulls heavy doors through cold Michigan winters. Empire swaps stretched chains, worn sprockets, and travel-limit gears, then tunes the force so the door seats without slamming.
Screw Drive Openers
Genie helped make the screw-drive opener a household name, using a threaded steel rod in place of a chain or belt for fewer moving parts. We lubricate and adjust the trolley, replace worn carriages, and keep the older Genie screw-drive units many area homes still run in good shape.
Aladdin Connect Smart Hub
Aladdin Connect brings Wi-Fi to a Genie opener, so you can open, close, and check the door from your phone or pair it with Alexa and Google Assistant. Empire sets up the app, mounts the door sensor, and can add Aladdin Connect to many openers that shipped without it.
How Empire Services Genie Openers
Genie openers span decades of designs, so a Genie repair rewards diagnosis over guesswork. Empire's technicians read the flash codes on Genie logic boards, test the Safe-T-Beam photo eyes, and check the drive rail before naming a fix. We keep the parts that fail most on the truck, including remotes, receiver boards, gear-and-sprocket kits, and Safe-T-Beam sensor pairs, so the majority of Brighton-area calls wrap up in one visit. When an opener is past its service life, we lay out the current SilentMax belt, ChainMax chain, and screw-drive choices and match the unit to your door's weight and how often it cycles.
